Julian Leonardo Hernández
Law graduate from Universidad Externado, specializing in financial and corporate law. He has more than six years of experience in the financial and corporate sectors. He holds a Specialist Degree in Corporate Law from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (2022), a Specialist Degree in Financial Legislation from Universidad de los Andes (2023), and a Master of Science (MSc) in Law and Finance from the University of Oxford (2026), awarded with a Merit classification and Distinction in Principles of Financial Regulation and Economics.
His practice focuses on financial regulation, capital markets, and prudential regulation. He has worked as in-house counsel at Grupo Cibest, as an associate in the corporate, financial, and M&A practices of other leading law firms in Colombia, and as a public officer within the Compliance Directorate of the Superintendence of Companies.
He has led the implementation of prudential standards and the design of legal structures for treasury operations, investment banking, asset management, and cross-border service provision. He is a lecturer in the Specialist Program in Corporate Law at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and serves as an assistant lecturer in the Specialist Program in Financial Legislation at Universidad de los Andes.
