“These last few weeks at Brigard Urrutia have presented to me an experience of a lifetime. Here I have found space to get to know myself better, to rediscover myself and to reinvent myself; to explore what it is that I like and what I do not like. I have learnt what it really means to work in a law firm, which sometimes can be very hard but always satisfying. However, the most satisfying aspect of this experience has, without doubt, been its people. During the internship I have made real friends, with whom I have had great experiences and whom I hope to have for a long time. I can only thank Brigard Urrutia for allowing me to live though such an emotional experience, which has had an impact on both, my personal life and my professional development."

At BU I have found a friendly environment, challenging with constant feedback which has shown me the value of team work in order to achieve the best possible results. “Seven weeks seem to be little time to compress everything that I have experienced during the BU-BC summer internship. Nevertheless, they have been enough for me to understand that prestige is built up day by day. Working with brilliant lawyers, who are dedicated to their work and are always friendly, has shaped my perception of the law. I have gotten to know new areas of practice which were never even mentioned in university, I have learned that work that is done in a team is the most satisfying and I have been able to re-confirm for myself that challenges are always opportunities. Besides all these things that I have learnt, I am leaving BU-BC with real friends who have made this experience something unique. “Being part of this year’s group of interns at BU and BC has been a very satisfying experience, as it has not only given me the opportunity to work and get to know the work environment of this prestigious firm, but it has also allowed me to go through this experience with excellent people, who were professional, amiable and always happy to work with you and to teach you new things. Furthermore, I have made friendships with people from various parts of Colombia and abroad. Every day was full of new knowledge and I was able to not only be facing cases of topics that we learn about at university, but also areas of practice which have been completely unknown to me.
