Paola Guerrero Yemail

Director of the Litigation, Arbitration and Insolvency Team, with more than 14 years of experience. Currently, she is in charge of the Firm's Insolvency & Restructuring practice. She represents companies and financial entities as creditors in complex insolvency proceedings before the Colombian authorities. Provides legal advice and represents business groups on cross-border insolvency proceedings and cases related to digital asset´s recuperation. Also, she provides legal advice to companies before and during a bankruptcy, restructuring or disinvestment process. Additionally, she participates in financing transactions, infrastructure, asset acquisition, among other transactions, contributing to risk analysis, execution and enforcement of security interests, and the strategy related to trusts.

She has spoken at conferences on digital assets in insolvency scenarios and other topics related to business restructuring and asset recuperation.

She graduated with high honors from Universidad de la Sabana, holds a postgraduate degree in International Business Law from Universidad de los Andes, a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from California University, Berkeley (Berkeley Law School) and a Business Law certificate of Berkeley Law School. She has won national and international scholarships (Universidad de la Sabana, Universidad de Salamanca-España, Colfuturo and Northwestern University). Co-founder of the International Arbitration Association at Berkeley Law School.
