
Isabel Cristina Delgado Aguas
Isabel is a lawyer from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and holds a specialization in customs law from the Universidad Externado de Colombia. She has nearly 18 years of experience in the following areas: foreign exchange law, customs and foreign exchange regulations, free trade zones and international trade, administrative and judicial proceedings, international law, and anti-money laundering compliance.
Isabel joined Brigard Urrutia in 2024 as a partner, focusing on foreign exchange matters and international investment. She advises national and international clients on issues related to foreign exchange and foreign investment, as well as compliance with these operations before the Central Bank of Colombia (Banco de la República) and the National Tax and Customs Authority (DIAN), and represents clients in potential investigations, audits, and litigation.
Before joining Brigard Urrutia, Isabel worked at KPMG as the director in charge of foreign exchange, customs, and international trade matters.
She has participated in numerous international projects and has sector-specific experience in healthcare, services, infrastructure, manufacturing, telecommunications, e-commerce, and oil and gas.
