Diego Pulido Beltrán

Diego Pulido Beltrán is a lawyer and specialist in Commercial Law from Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Associate in the Litigation, Arbitration and Insolvency team at Brigard Urrutia, joined the firm in 2019.

He advises and represents a broad range of national and multinational companies in complex, strategic, and high-value civil and commercial disputes. His practice includes litigation before Colombian courts, proceedings before administrative authorities, and domestic and international arbitrations conducted under the rules of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce. He also advises clients in strategic negotiations, settlements, amiable compositions, and other alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.

Diego has been actively involved in disputes concerning contractual and non-contractual civil liability, corporate and shareholder conflicts, post-M&A controversies, and constitutional actions, particularly in the energy, telecommunications, technology, infrastructure, transportation, construction, and services sectors.

Prior to joining the Firm, he worked at the Supreme Court of Justice, where he contributed to the analysis and development of case law within the Civil Chamber, particularly in matters involving obligations and civil liability. He also worked at the Constitutional Court of Colombia, contributing to the review of cases related to fundamental rights and due process.

During his academic training, he received multiple scholarships and academic honors for excellence, ranked within the top 1% nationwide on the 'Saber Pro' national law examination, and graduated among the top of his class. He served as a teaching assistant in private law courses and was a member of the commercial arbitration team, with notable participation in international academic competitions.
