Valentina Cárdenas Jiménez

As an Associate in the Mergers and Acquisitions team, she advises domestic and international clients on M&A transactions, both in local transactions where the firm acts as lead counsel and in cross-border transactions where the firm acts as local counsel. Her experience includes share and asset acquisitions. In her role, she is actively involved in all stages of transactions, including due diligence, the structuring, drafting, and negotiation of key transactional documents such as share or asset purchase agreements, shareholders’ agreements, escrow agreements, and ancillary documents, as well as the coordination of complex closings, frequently involving multiple jurisdictions.
 
In the academic field, she served as an Assistant Professor for the Mergers and Acquisitions module in the Corporate Law Specialization Program at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana from 2021 to 2023.
 
She holds a law degree from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, and her thesis addressed the regime of representations and warranties under Colombian contract law, proposing a unified framework with direct implications for M&A practice in Colombia.
