Mariana Plaza Rayo
She graduated from Universidad del Rosario, with a focus on International Law and Private Law. In 2024, she completed a post-graduate degree in Commercial Law at Universidad de los Andes.
She has more than four years of experience in intellectual property, litigation, technology, advertising, and extensive involvement in the entertainment industry. She worked for three years at our allied intellectual property firm, Brigard Castro, where she participated in complex litigation involving industrial property, copyright, and unfair competition. She also advised on commercial transactions related to intangible assets, including Naming Rights, and took part in due diligence processes for various deals.
Throughout her career, she has supported companies in designing strategies for the protection of intangible assets, regulatory compliance in intellectual property, digital content, advertising and marketing, as well as unfair competition and data protection matters, both in pre-litigation and litigation scenarios.
She currently advises national and international clients on entertainment projects, providing guidance across all stages of audiovisual development and production, including rights licensing, clearance, negotiations with talent and suppliers, and the legal structuring of projects. She also advises on matters related to technology, data protection, intellectual property, advertising, and marketing.
