Brigard & Urrutia partner since 1996. With over 20 of experience, currently performs as team leader of the Litigation, Arbitration and Insolvency practice and as such has represented foreign and domestic companies in the most noteworthy litigation and arbitration proceedings in Colombia, in both Civil and Business/Commercial Law as well as Administrative ones. He has also taken active part in numerous proceedings of restructuring and liquidation of companies. 
Mr. Barragán is an Active Member of the Official Roster and has acted as Arbitrator before the Chambers of Commerce of Bogotá, Medellin and Cali and as an international arbitrator in proceedings held per the ICC rules and the rules from the UNCITRAL. Mr. Barragán is also Member of the Latin American Arbitration Group of the ICC, of the American Bar Association, and of the “Club Español de Arbitraje” (Spaniard Arbitration Club) and also figures as Member of the roster of arbitrators of the “Asociación de ex magistrados de las Altas Cortes de Colombia- Asomagíster” (Association of Former Magistrate Judges of the High Courts of Colombia-Asomagister).

Lecturer of the course on Alternative Resolution Methods of Disputes and Commercial Law at the prestigious and renown Colegio Mayor de Nuestra Señora del Rosario and has been speaker at numerous conferences in Colombia and abroad.

Graduate Lawyer from the Universidad del Rosario with graduate degrees on Corporations from the also prestigious Universidad Javeriana and on Commercial Proceedings from the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce (CCB). Holds a Master´s Degree in International Commercial Law from the University of California in the United States of America; has attended various courses and seminars among which we find Litigation in Electronic Media from the University of Cologne in Germany. On American Legal Institutions obtained in Wisconsin, USA and on International Arbitration earned at the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in Paris, France.
