| | | Ms. Rodriguez joined the firm in 2006 and currently is a Senior Associate in the Forex, Derivatives and Structured Finance Practice Group, one of the most specialized and multidisciplinary practice groups of the Firm, providing advice to domestic and foreign companies, mainly in the financial services realm, in general forex issues, relating to foreign investment, external indebtedness guarantees, use of off-set accounts, derivative operations and structured products, as well as local and international master agreements for negotiation of derivative operations and related guarantees. Likewise, Ms. Rodriguez provides legal advice regarding special legal requirements for the foreign exchange regime with respect to the hydrocarbons and mining sectors, representation in administrative exchange proceedings and structuring and implementation of stock option plans and salary and extra-salary benefit planes and the like.
She is admitted to practice in Colombia and her admission to the New York Bar is currently pending after successfully sitting for the New York Bar Examination in 2010.
Ms. Rodriguez is a graduate of the School of Law of Universidad de los Andes and also obtained a specialization in Financial Law from the same institution. In addition, she graduated with an LL.M. from Emory University School of Law in Atlanta, Georgia. She has alternated law practice with teaching at some of Colombia’s elite universities, such as Universidad de los Andes and Universidad Javeriana.
